We've All Been There

Don't even act like you've never done this. All cubicles should have their own ventilation systems, or at least warning lights that someone just poisoned the air.
Anyways, Franklin Wunder is watchable, with very little explanations needed, such as "oh this part will have music later", or "Yea, we need to re-record audio". Granted, those two disclaimers still are to be heard, but they are very infrequent. Now all I have to do is convince the director that the ending needs more resolution. Oh these indi-directors, they aren't happy unless their audience doesn't know what just happened.

Predator Repeat

Let out early today, and I'm gonna pick up my car from the mechanic. I saw Predators last night, and it was pretty awesome. So, with time ticking down until Thanksgiving weekend, I felt it was time to pull an oldie but a goodie. Have a good weekend, and don't get trampled by me on Black Friday!

Nature in Balance

I have an appointment to bring the car in on Wed, soonest I could get it in, don't worry. I was allowed to leave work 20 minutes ago, but stayed to do the comic after a week of set-backs. You're welcome.
TURKEYDAY ACOMETH!

Bad Week for Comedy

Ok, a co-worker's transferred backlog of mail kept me from doing a comic on Monday, and installing new carpet prevented a three cells of comedy on Wednesday, but gosh-darn it, I am going to post a comic today. I can see it now, my character mentioning something about how we can't get any work done because of the construction, then someone else not being able to hear me due to the noise, and then maybe even a random explosion. Oh it will be a great comic. I can't wait to...what?...you're going to paint the walls now? Ok, I don't see how that affects...oh, it's toxic?...yes, I DO notice your gas mask...I see...sterility?...well, we don't want that...

Ok, so no comic today, due to my office's lack of forsight on doing all this construction prior to people moving their stuff and persons to the new space. Think ahead people, and you won't be running from toxic fumes. Speaking of which...'cough'...I gotta go.

All Bad Things Never End

No comic today. I was asked to help a coworker by catching up her four day backlog of mail to enter. And yes, I did finish it. Cause I knows how to get things done. Except consistent updated comics. That seems to prove tricky. Oh, and yes I just moved cubes like a week ago, but now we have to pack everything up and "hover" while they put in new carpet. Why new carpet? I dunno.

Fun With Reality

Have YOU ever been hungry enough to eat reality? Bet you never considered it an option. Ah, the luxuries of being a comic character.

I finished audio balancing Franklin Wunder, but the first half was done with on-board speakers, and the second half was done with professional studio headphones. I then went back to the first half and found my self surprised at the shoddy work I, myself had done. Oh Dan of the first half, why can't you be more like Dan of the second half?

Anyways, after sound effects, more music, some re-recording of audio and slight color balancing, we might just have an awesome movie on our hands. Oh, and of course Herman Colbert has to have another run through to make sure our movie lives up to his esteemed standards. Don't question the Herman, just go with it.

Just Don't Ask

Actually this is 100% true, but they were also gracious enough to give us a temp for six months. Because a systemic, long-term problem can be fixed by an employee that's there only long enough to understand what they're doing on their last day, and then leaves to presumably die, because temping affords no health insurance. Everyone is a bit grumpy today.
I go home to attempt to cook. And this time, not a single ingredient has graced the freezer. I am very excited. We're talking garlic potatoes and beef stir-fry...both from a healthy cookbook. I can feel those ripply stomach muscles emerging already.

Nutrition Facts

Ugg, on a topic unrelated to today's comic, there is a scene that I was audio balancing for Franklin Wunder that is giving me grief. There was a refrigerator running in the background, humming a little tune to itself the entire scene. That in itself isn't too bad, but our microphone was running out of batteries, so it wasn't picking up as well. So when I bump the volume so we can hear the actors, guess who's humming comes to the forefront?
Bah, I will see what other tricks I can work, but we might just have to re-record the audio. Ever try to watch a video of yourself, and then repeat the sentence you just uttered exactly the way you did? Well, our actors will answer yes to that question come the end of this month.

Too Close to Home?

We gave out full sized candy bars, people! You can't just let that kind of left-overs go to waste! "Why don't you give it away, Dan?" Aw, well if you aren't going to suggest anything constructive then don't bother chiming in.
Due to a technical glitch at work, I won't get paid this last Friday's check until tomorrow. This is not an economic disaster for me, as I have all my bills spaced out and have savings to cover situations such as this. The same cannot be said of everyone, even those whom have a much more robust salary than I. Research afforded me a staggering statistic, that more people live from paycheck to paycheck than not. I think I'll go home and be thankful today.

Halloween Leftovers

I'm back, baby! And it's good to be home. Aside from my paycheck being $80 due to a glitch that the payroll department won't admit. Or my car being hit twice in one month by our neighbors...while it was parked. Anyways, good to be home. Halloween was a blast, The Walking Dead on AMC is a must-watch, and Tony Stark costume was a hit at the party I went to. My wife/little sister from Bioshock was pretty hot as well, which is odd for me because the character is a child. Don't know how I'm supposed to feel on that one.
Today marks day one of Franklin Wunder being past it's completion due date. Is it finished? No, but close. 75% of the Audio has been balanced and sweetened, with lots of tweaks to video and music being added along the way. More music, some re-recording of audio, some sound effects, and color correcting is all that is needed, placing my personal estimate of it's completion within this month. Not too bad.
