Honeymoon Sendoff

Oh man, Wolverine cameo! Hope that can get you through till November, cause this guy's going on his honeymoon. I'm so excited, I just had to post this comic early, so nothing would stop me from blasting out the door at closing time!

Technical difficulties

The comic is done, but blogspot.com is doing maintenance and has disabled the ability to upload pictures. Oh man, I will have to post it tomorrow, it's a goodie!

Fourth Wall

It's not really that funny, but I just wanted an excuse to break the fourth wall. The fourth wall is the imaginary line between actors and the audience. Originating from stage, you have the two sides, and the back of the stage, but the actors are to imagine the fourth wall (currently being occupied by a large audience). If ever the actor were to talk directly to the audience, and allude to knowledge that he is in a play, that was "breaking" the fourth wall.
See, you get a comic AND a history lesson. That's just good value!

Buyer's Market

Just to make things clear, I have not yet left for my honeymoon. Just putting that out there. Yes, I got married almost two months ago, but hey, patience is a virtue.
Half the office looks like someone tried to divide by zero today, with cubes being utterly disassembled and a faulty ceiling vent trying it's darnedest to drive me insane. Glad it's Friday. This weekend might just see the point where I can officially say "Franklin Wunder is CLOSE to being viewable". It'll feel good, but we will still have some audio to grab, and some more music to compose.
T-minus 4 workdays until vacation!

Quarantine

Not sick yet, or at all (knock on wood), but I have seen many fall to the fall cold that is bouncing around like a toddler after an ice cream cake party. So many bottles of Purell hanging around, it's a wonder they don't just pump it into the air vents.
This weekend proves to be a thick edit time for Franklin Wunder. There's a DVD with changes and additions the director wants me to make, and once they are in place, I can balance the audio. About a weekend's worth of work, and I have a free weekend. Sometimes, all you have to do is ask.

Quick to Judge

This is what happens when short staffing leads to rushing. Thing get lost. Unfortunately the request for overtime in order to prove to the higher-ups that another staff member is called for was denied. So we were told to just make mistakes until they hired someone to help us. I will repeat that, not because that's the wording that was used, but because that's what they meant. We are supposed to, EXPECTED to make shoddy work so that when the reviewers ask why it's so bad, we can say we need another staff member.

The corporate world is confusing.

Shifting in Transit

Thus why there was no comic Weds. The move has been a real debacle, and I only wish I had more time to properly make fun of it. Our department was told that we are understaffed, and the only way to prove that we need more staff is to...stop performing as well as we are. Kinda shows you the corperate mentality; Don't fix a problem until it becomes a disaster. I happen to have a certain wife who subscribes to that philosophy when it comes to her health.
Speaking of wife, the 22nd (honeymoon lift off date) is fast approaching. Boy howdy am I excited.

Too Good To Last

True story. Even the Galactus part. Oh, and he is Jack Kerby character from the Marvel universe, in case any of my readers don't get the classic comic book reference. And for those who saw the second Fantastic Four movie, this is what Galactus really looks like. So yea, not some storm cloud in space. Sorry.
The video I'm shooting is a contest connected to my company's giving campaign. They match every dollar donated and you can choose from lots of charities. If I win, I get $1,000 to donate to a charity, which I think I can sleep well at night if I do. And, since it is through work, I have been running around all day filming and sweating, explaining to people that yes, that thousands of dollars pile of filming equipment is mine and it's what I do. Maybe I will inspire people to pick up a hobby or something.
