May 7th

Yes, he is excited...is the answer to your question. I could sit in a room watching the trailer where Tony Stark puts on his suitcase-armor all day. Whoops, just zoned out for like 10 minutes watching it in my head.
I was driving to work today and saw a flash of light. Investigation of my surroundings led me to realize one of those stupid unmanned cop ticket machines took my picture. Granted, they take pictures at the tip of a hat, and never have I actually been sent a ticket, but still, it was unnerving. I wasn't even speeding, so the cause for the camera being set off is, as of yet, still a mystery. Time will tell.

Why Do Rats Leave a Ship?

I am kinda tired of the slack I am having to pull to offset the skeleton crew that comes to work currently. If I was being paid more, or even acknowledged of doing a heavier than normal job I would be ok, but this is a thankless burden. You give gifts for the thought, not because of expecting something back. The same cannot be said for a day job. You work harder, and you expect more compensation, but none comes in the current economy. It is simply not to be fired that is your reward.
Restaurant commercial is finished, two revision versions yielded a third, wonderful finally. Go to thedeathspecial’s account on youtube and watch version 3 to see it. Now all I have to do is compress 225mbs of HD video into a miniscule 10mbs of regulation size wonder. I can do it. I think I can…

I Take Requests

This one was a personal request from a coworker. It comes complete with self-aware, self-defacing humor! I did it early because I think we may get out early today and I didn’t want to deprive you all of such a gem. I mean…look at that comedic timing!

Commercial should be done by this weekend, I will post a link on Monday. Happy weekend, everyone!

A little Too Quiet...

The relatively plain nature of today's comic speaks to the validity of it's message. A particular type of task I am given on a day to day basis takes 20 minutes to completion. On any normal "average" given day, I will get between none and three of these tasks. The past week has seen my being blessed with no less than seven per day. Now you may say "Oh, 20 minutes times seven isn't that much, it's only a bit over two hours." Well that's true, but that is assuming everything goes as planned. That all fax numbers are correct, that all addresses are complete, that all t's are crossed and i's dotted. We all know what happens when people assume.

By the by, I must recommend the movie "Moon" to anyone who wants a good, emotionally impactful sci fi movie. It's quite good, and the low budget makes it endearing, rather than lame.

Tedious

I don't really see the point of not auto-populating a form that must be filled out daily. At least it can give you a head start on entering in data, even if the auto-info is slightly off from what you want it to reflect. Madness, this is madness.
Thursday should be the final shoot for the Daily Grill commercial, and man is it looking good so far. 35mm adaptors should be given out on Halloween as candy, because they make everything sweet. Kids, make sure your parents check your adaptors before you eat, someone might have snuck a needle in the lens. Or...something, I don't know the analogy falls apart.

Spring Cleaning

The thread of reality that this premise clings to is that I was eating beef jerky and a sliver found its way into the keys. I debated on the finer points of the five second rule before realizing that I had already eaten the subject of my debate. Oh well, protein is protein.

Franklin Wunder, a feature-film that I am working on and hopefully the general public will be hearing about soon enough, has casting on Sunday. I am beside myself in anticipation due to the alleged high caliber of actors that have turned out for no more than free food and a lead role in a feature film. We will see if my talents will live up to the reputation I built for them.

Drained

I just put a Bar Mitzvah, a feature film and a spot for VIMBY on my calendar that already has planning a wedding and spending enough time with my fiance to remind her why we are planning a wedding. Yet I STILL do not claim to be the most tired, because I don't have kids. Being one up-ed in the tired category is always a loosing battle.
Restaurant shoot went well...oh yea add that one too. Just need one more quick shoot and I will submit that one. Audio was a bit iffy outside, I might get a wind sock to fix future shoots. ANNNNND I just exploded my head.

Johnson is Great

Gotta love Johnson. Intake hired a new lady, who promptly snapped on the second day, started crying and subsequently resigned. Gotta think the independent interviewing company is going to hear about this one. Then again, you never really know how a person is going to react to a new situation, regardless of what their resume suggests.
So, Animation project was won, first and grand prize, by me. I think I already posted this, but it's still fresh in my mind and ego. There's a new project that I am working on this weekend, a commercial for Daily Grill restaurants. I have never shot in a restaurant FOR that restaurant, so it will be interesting to see what it's like to have the owners expect and WANT you to be there.

Something Smells...

Yikes, boy did it smell today. Microwave plus anything that lives in the sea equals chronic diarrhea. I don't know why, but fresh fish is desirable, and I don't think I've ever heard someone order fish with the condition that it be "mature".

Voting is over for the animation project, and I thank everyone who participated. They haven't posted winners yet, but I still hold out hope. Next project is underway, a commercial for a restaurant called Daily Grill. The shoot is broken up into three parts, with two planed for this week. Yippy!
