Empty Victory

157, if you're wondering. My personal best is 158, but I assure you it is not a number I reach with any regularity.

Franklin Wunder trailer is live, people! Go to youtube and search for Franklin Wunder (gasp!) or if you are friends with me or the director, Chris Lang, it's there too. And soon it will be on Wundermovie.com (gasp again!) Oh the marketing synergy is palpable.

Workload

Who did you think I was talking to, yo mama? Ahh...but seriously we are horrendously understaffed and burning out left and right. But enough about work, this is a very special comic. THIS IS THE 200th In-Between Calls!
(Yay...confettii...balloons...high-priced escorts...what?)
In other news, Franklin Wunder has a trailer! Once I go home I will post it, and then add a link on the next posting. It's pretty cool, and for once doesn't oversell the project. I'm looking at you, trailer for Proctor!

Reminder

If you are wondering, it's still a droid phone that saved the day.
Actually, MY birthday is coming up soon, and I don't know what to make of it. The act of turning 27 (shhh, don't say it out loud) doesn't make me feel as mature as being married. That happened while I was 26, so it's almost like 27 has some big shoes to fill. Hopefully this upcoming year will be a big year with Franklin Wunder (which is springing towards the finish line) becoming a big hit. At least on my measuring scale, which is it breaking even.
We shall see.

Low Blood-Sugar

Johnson, no! Eat a graham cracker or something!
Another busy day, but still staying afloat. Someone gave me a square of dark chocolate with chili peppers in it, quite the exotic treat. It deserved to be eaten slowly, and I was more than willing to oblige.
In local news, the snow scare was a no scare. Haaa. No snow = no Dan prancing about enjoying the winter wonderland. Oh well, at least there's winter wunderland...they take nickles!

Poop Jokes!

A stuffed Puddles the Duck playing the U of O theme song over and over led to writer's block, which in turn led to a poop joke being used in lieu of more cerebral fair. What I want to know is, why does she need a mop? Did he just pinch a load right there on the spot? Cause that's nasty.

Calling for snow and ice rain tomorrow. Stock up on granola bars and kitty litter, or whatever Portlanders do when they blow weather events out of proportion.

They're Bionic!

Ahh, the first time (that I can recollect) that swearing has been used in the comic. But that's the joke, that he is being vulgar in a situation that doesn't call for it. I think we're all right.
Friday time, and editing time too. Frankin Wunder has a delightful assortment of musics grafted to the video, and one of the bands supplying the waves of air want to know how their art is being used. I have to export a high quality version and put it on youtube for them to see. DON'T get excited though, because it's going to be private, only for them. Don't bother searching youtube for a sneak preview, you'll have to wait till it's done.
(It's soooo good)

We All Scream...

Busy day, but good day. And yes there was ice cream, but I didn't have any. Trying to be good after the holidays, you know. I did get to look over the resumes of possible candidates for our temp position today, and let me tell you; I have no idea why I don't get every single job I ever apply for. You've got people with two page resumes only because they use 14 font, thinking that more is better. You've got people with a less than stellar grasp of formatting, so they decided to use all formats on the same page. You've got people who put "experience" on their resume that doesn't pertain in any way to the job they are applying to. I don't know, but it was refreshing to see the other side of the application coin, and to know that the class I took on putting together a resume was worth it.

Back in 2011

Get it? I don't know what the heck I'm doing! Ahhhh, Happy New Year and look forward to lots of cool stuff. My boss's son is in my cube stamping everything with my date stamper, or I would type more updates. I played lots of video games over the break, that's cool, right?
