Happy New Year, Merry Christmas and Hannukah too, but it ended already

Long title! No comic today due to work shoved at the last minute. Normally I would be able to do it tomorrow, but I am going on a little vacation. That over-abundance of paid time off I was mentioning a few strips ago.

Anyways, don't expect any comics until January 3rd when I return. A new year, a new wife (well, same wife as this year, but she still has that new-wife smell) and everything will start fresh. And taxes. Always taxes. Oooooo, and Superbowl. Yeaaaahh!

Someone saw Tron: Legacy last Friday! It was great*
*Visuals were amazing, music was intense, story was OK, guest appearance by "The Dude" was irksome
Also, had a 101.2 temp on Saturday. It's been so long since I had a temp that high that it was more of a novelty than anything else. Then when I woke feeling all better on Sunday, I felt all drafty and cool. Very interesting. Pleasant? No, but fascinating at least.
My wife had nausea. Not so fascinating. (We both at at a very un-recommendable cafe in Multnoma County that was both fat and in the city, if you get my drift.)

Kill 'Em Dead

In-between Calls does Android! Yay!
Franklin Wunder's finish date has been moved to February. Originally it was November. Look Ma, we're just like the big studios. Fortunately the due date was arbitrary, with no ill effects felt from pushing it back. Honestly it could probably be done in January if the director would stop having a life. I mean geez, stop hanging out with your family!

The Hunger

Too hungry to...draw a comic? Not a chance, though I did munch on some almonds while I pondered the subject matter.
Tron Legacy comes out this week, and somebody's pretty excited about it. (Hint: it's me!) I am gonna see it in 3-D and then maybe again in 2-D. Then perhaps I'll go all crazy and see it in 1-D. I'm pretty sure that involves staring at a piece of string.

Surplus

For those of you who are jealous, ponder this; How does one collect such an abundance of paid time off? Perhaps because he has the attendance record of an elementary school nerd? The point is, I don't take many days off, as opposed to working for some magic company that gives you two days off for every one day worked. I think Google does that, I could be wrong.
Last night of Hannukah tonight, so enjoy those lights, my Jewish friends! And for all those gentiles out there, after tonight you don't have to hold your tongue on wishing people a Merry Christmas. Our holiday is over, there's nothing to correct you on.

Hannukah or Channukah?

Originally I was going to have him make up traditions for Hannukah in order to take advantage of her naivety, but every fake tradition I thought of was more sane than the actual observational requirements. And who doesn't love those CG polar bears knocking back Cokes with Santa? Terrorists, that's who. Casing point, that jerk who tried to blow up our tree lighting ceremony in Ptown. What's with that? All the bigger cities were closed?
Anyways, it's about time for me to go pick up some jelly donuts, or "Sufganiot" in Hebrew. Pronounce it phonetically, three syllables.
