My Kinda Stock

Tonight, I'm going to OMSI after dark. Think going to a science center but with beer, and less kids. Personally I have fun with kids, and beer isn't my thing, but it's good to have adventures once and a while.
Franklin Wunder is coming along better than all expectations. I feel bad for all the projects that came before it, now belittled in comparison. 44 minutes have been edited, and still tons of footage left to go, let alone 2-3 more shooting days. Hello, feature film.

Ensuring Finacial Success

Ever since a financial speaker came to the health fair and talked with me and my coworkers about how to make your money work for you, I have been hooked. From increasing my investment up to the maximum matched amount to reallocating my 401K to higher performing stocks, I have made (over the long haul) quite a pretty penny just by moving around the money I already have. Dan of the future is very happy.
Now if only I could get more funds into Dan of the present's hand.

...Candygram...Flowers...

Land-Shark, anyone? Awww, classics. The real question is, how did UPS allow a live shark in their truck? The box looks pretty brown to me?
I discovered a wonderful website the other day and now I am addicted. Ok, ok my coworker discovered it and told me. Ok, ok, someone told him...the point is, go to Mint.com and enter in all your bank accounts. Don't worry, his bank told him about it, and it is very secure. It's a budget site that downloads your spending and maps it, so you can see your spending habits, work towards goals, and feel bad that you ate at Wendys three times in one week back in April. I didn't, I'm just saying you might have.
Again, it's owned by Quicken, it's secure, it's addictive.

Guest Spot the second

Dustin, my good ol buddy over at plusonecomic.com is going on vacation, and asked me to guest spot on his comic. It's about havin' a baby! (Not making a baby, so calm down.) Here is my assist to him, if you can't read the writing well, just click to enlarge. His comic uses a smaller resolution than mine, so the next looks weird when we cross-mojinate.

2010 Health Fair Friday

This one doesn't even have my face in it, but truth be told at this point I was so pressed for time I just slapped things together. Still, it gets the information across, and that's what counts. Umm, peoplez loves their cupcakes decorating! Yes, this was by far the most attended and complemented activity throughout this entire health fair week. And besides watching people wolf down the decorations without even placing them on cupcakes (you know who you are) I had a fun time too. The prize for best cake was one of those huge cake pans that look like a cupcake. Fitting, I think.

2010 Health Fair Thursday

And three days down, two to go. I am personally looking forward to the cupcake decorating, as I have had to stare at all manner of candy and confectionary delights sitting at my desk all week. Oh, to be the treasurer of such treasure.
The brain teaser challenge was a bit hap-hazard in judging. We had to accept "close enough" as criteria for winning, lest no one win at all. Oh what are our schools teaching these kids?

2010 Health Fair Wednesday

Ironically, this illustrates how the health fair has made me feel at this point. I didn't have time to work out yet I am more sore in my neck (no pun intended) then I usually am from an hour of hard excersize.
PHOTOSHOP FTW! (That's "For the win" for you who don't know leet speek)

2010 Health Fair Tuesday

And here is Children of the Corn advertising the second day of our health fair. First day went very well, though I missed out on getting a good massage. Oh well, I got a 3 day pass to Clubsport, and if you know the enrollment fees at that place, you would agree that I made bank.

Friday, June 11, 2010

This week (the one starting, not the one that is just ending) I will be posting the advertisements for the health fair that I have been planning with co worker for the last few months. You can see the co worker in the corner, shooting what I can only assume is compressed air at me, the Superman. Us two have put together a different health focus for each day of the week, and Monday will start with Physical.

Hope you all enjoy the retro-goofy marketing schlock!

Stupid work at WORK

The paradoxical struggle between having too much work to do at work, and not enough time to draw comics is that I have heard more complaints about slacking off on the latter than I ever had in the former. Perhaps it is because I make it a habit not to lag behind in my professional obligations, but maybe it’s just that you people appreciate me more. Mua, smooch, and all that appreciative jazz.

I just learned that my good friend Dustin Reese is moving to Portland. I would say “back” to Portland, but in point of fact he never lived here, but rather Hillsboro. I look forward to the mushroom clouds of creativity that will emanate from ground zero that is he and I living in the same city again.
