Excited?

And boom goes the dynamite. The answer to the question above, in case you were wondering, is yes. Just to clear that up, I am excited about marrying my high school friend, who became my college friend, who became my college sweetheart, who became my best friend. Am I anxious to the point of a nigh imperceptible vibration that my entire cellular structure seems to be experiencing? You bet your shiny metal butt I am.
Gotta get the tags updated on the fiance's car after work so family from out of town doesn't get pulled over when they borrow it. Having a task that is mostly non-wedding related seems to be settling my stomach at the moment. Nice.
Well, see you all in a week, I gots ta get ready for my nuptuals!

This Week...

Electron super-collider? I barely know her! Bahahahaha, but enough jokes. This week is the week where the magic happens. Family comes in from out of town, decorations get put up, and meditation gets a larger chunk of the day than normal. OH, and work is busy too, ergo no comic.

Should be fun. Whoo boy. Yeeh haw.

The Last Free Weekend

Do not mention tachyons around my fiance. She goes ballistic. It all stems from when she and I were watching one of those science shows, and they talked about the speed of light. The narrator made the statement that nothing goes faster than light, except space itself. This is based on the observation that distant supernovas are moving away from each other faster than they should, and is a whole thing unto itself. Unfortunately my lady heard the narrator say "Nothing moves faster than light, except light itself". This made her fly into a rage about how that didn't make any sense (admittedly it doesn't) and how biology is the better science.
Needless to say, my show of choice when she is out with the girls involves astro-physics, quantum dynamics, and string theory. Ah, to be a nerd in love.

T-minus Ten...

Hey, look! He has a droid...oh he's so hip. If you don't know who Cthulu is, either google "H.P. Lovecraft", or just imaging an impossibly ancient, absurdly huge monster with tentacles for a face that lives under the water as long as a cult keeps sacrificing virgins to him. Basically that.

Work has a lunch BBQ tomorrow. I am excited because I get to dress up like a soda jerk (haha, no really, that's what they were called) and dispense various floats to coworkers. Got my bow tie and apron all ready. Yum.

The Move

Unfortunately this one isn't too far from the mark. However, I just might get a window seat, so it's kinda ok.
12 days until wedding. I think I just moistened my pants. It's warm, and on a day like today, that's just uncalled for.
I encourage all to visit the Wundermovie.com page to view the 22nd episode of "Making Wunder". This one is really more like a mini trailer for the movie, and for once I can say that the trailer actually represents how good the movie is going to be. Oh, and the song that plays will get stuck in your head if you let it. Or in my case, if you don't let it and it forces its way in anyway.

Modern Version of an Old Classic

Try as you might with your phone applications and your snail mail, sooner or later you have to check your email, and then...he's gonna get you!
Boo.
Expendables will be viewed by me tonight. I will then proceed to become so manly by proxy that I will arm wrestle a grizzly bear for who gets the right to swim upstream 200 miles and eat salmon that will be smoked simply by being close to the buff radiation that my muscles give off. It's gonna be epic.

LAN party

As the title hints, he was at a LAN party, not a party with ladies. Local Access Network, it's basically when everyone brings their computer physically to one dude's house, and they hook them up and play games with each other. It's nerdy, it's weird, and I am proud to say I have never done it. But I can still make fun of it.
Truth be told, I am drained due to finishing principle filming on Franklin Wunder. The flashback scenes are done, and they went great. Aside from some freezing actors who spent the better part of an unseasonably cold August day in a lake. I am excited to insert the additional footage and see the story finally flesh out and make sense.

Math-tastic!

Why is a provider in the office with me? That would never happen, this is silly. I like it...but it's silly.
I was just asked to stay late to do work that should have been given to me at noon today. Then I noticed that the deadline isn't till Monday at noon, and I start significantly earlier than that. So they were late, then they were wrong...TGIF I guess.

Overtime

Yes, another day without a comic. We have gotten so busy that they've approved overtime if we need it. Perhaps you don't understand the gravity of that statement but I find it hard to convey into words how stingy this company can get. Scrooge McDuck just agreed to pay double wages to his nephews to do their paper routes. If you get the reference, then cool beans because Duck Tales were great. But also you understand how odd it is that overtime was approved.

Less than four weeks till wedding day. I have little bouts of the "freak out" but I think it's all going to be OK.

Kerpow!

I would write something witty here, but alas as we have discussed above, my head has exploded.
Introspection time!
I find that the closer to the wedding I get, the more nervous I am. This might seem obvious to some, or all, but it isn't the presence of jitters that I am surprised by. It is the reaction I produce. I find myself becoming more focused upon each jolt-like realization that the BIG DAY is mere weeks from today. Instead of becoming flustered, I become laser-like. It is the "I thrive under pressure" to the extreme, and I gotta say, I kinda like it.
